Every insurer file, received and checked the day it arrives
Why this matters to IIB. IIB cannot trust a figure until it knows every insurer file arrived whole and on time. This page receives each file and runs 31 checks on it and its rows the day it arrives.
Each insurer file is matched to what the insurer said it sent, so IIB knows it arrived whole and unchanged. Each public dataset keeps its source and publisher.

Run September's checks
Press the button to check September's 50 files live. It takes a few seconds. Each file gets 5 checks, such as whether it matches what the insurer said it sent and whether it arrived on time. Each policy row gets 16 checks and each claim row 10, so 31 in all. Rows that fail a must-pass check are held back. The figures on every page then update. In live use this would run by itself when a file arrives.
Only Data Operations can run the checks. Switch "Viewing as" to Data Operations to try it.
- Receive September's 50 files and take each file's fingerprint
- Run the 31 checks and hold back rows that fail a must-pass check
- Refresh the checked tables behind every page
- Compare each file with the same insurer's usual pattern
Recent months
September 2026 is unusual. 1,463 rows were held back, against 113 or fewer in each of the five months before. Most come from one insurer, Insurer K. See insurer file checks

Files for a month are due on the 5th of the next month. Late counts include harmless one or two day delays. The file checks only flag lateness over 3 days.
Runs of the monthly checks
No run yet. The data store was built from the files directly.
Each run is listed here. Running a month again replaces that month's data, so nothing is counted twice.
